Atmosphere Backdraft Damper 4-inch

Atmosphere backdraft dampers are manufactured with galvanized steel and can be mounted directly in the ventilation duct to ease the installation. The two blades have an independent hinge to prevent any malfunction. The dampers come with a gasket to ensure a quiet and sealed operation.

  • Neoprene damper seal minimizes leakage 
  • Requires 0.04 to 0.08 in. static pressure to open 
  • Simple installation in any position - entire assembly inserts into duct
  • Also available in 6”, 8”, 10”, and 12”

Back draft dampers are used in these applications:

 

  1. To control airflow and prevent unwanted air from re-entering the ductwork.
  2. To keep conditioned air inside and prevent outside air from coming in, control temperature and improve air quality the space.
  3. To reduce energy costs by preventing conditioned air from escaping.
  4. To prevent contaminated air from flowing back into a space when the fan is not running.
  5. To be added as an accessory when replacing an in-line fan or dryer exhaust duct power ventilator that includes a back draft damper.
