How an ERV Works: Fresh Air Without Wasting Energy

An Energy Recovery Ventilator continuously exchanges stale indoor air with fresh outdoor air while transferring heat and moisture between the two air streams.

During warmer conditions, incoming outdoor air is preconditioned before entering the home. During colder conditions, energy from outgoing indoor air helps temper incoming fresh air.

The result is controlled, balanced ventilation that helps support indoor air quality, comfort and energy efficiency.
