FlexDamper® All-In-One Radiation Damper

The folded, ceramic-curtain style damper meets both combustible and non-combustible UL assemblies. Designed to contain heat, limit radiant transfer and maintain a fire-rated ceiling assembly* during a fire.  Supports two-stage construction: fan housing and damper sleeve during framing, and fan/motor/damper installation after finishes. The damper provides easy access to fan/motor/damper for hassle-free maintenance.

FlexDamper® Ceiling Radiation Damper 

The FlexDamper® is an all-in-one, flexible radiation damper for combustible and non-combustible assemblies*. FlexDamper meets UL Combustible Assembly Ratings for "Stick-Built", low- or mid-rise, Multi-Family or Hotel/Lodging projects, and offers the best option for Architect/Engineer projects. It allows for two-stage project installation to protect fan/motor during drywall/interiors construction phase and allows easy access or replacement of the fan/motor. 

  •  FlexDamper meets UL Non-Combustible Assembly UL555C, Steel Beams/Girders/Trusses. The damper offers the best option for Architects and engineering projects. It allows for two-stage project installation to protect fan/motor during drywall/interiors construction phase and allows easy access or replacement of the fan/motor. 
  • UL and Warnock-Hersey (UL/WH) now require a separate Fire Chamber Fire Test to verify the efficacy of the Ventilation Fan/Radiation Dampers. 

Approved for Combustible & Non-Combustible Assemblies:

Combustible: UL 555C listed for use in a one hour: fire-rated, wood truss floor/ceiling and roof/ceiling designs; L521, L528, L546, L558, L562, L574, L576, L581, L583, L585, M509; P522, P-533, P-538, P-545 and P-548. 

Non-Combustible: UL 555C classification for use in a 1-, 2- or 3-hour, fire-rated floor/ceiling and roof/ceiling design. UL and Warnock Hersey 555C classification for 1-, 2- or 3-hour Non-Combustible assemblies.
